Deputy Headteacher Salary: Up to £55,000 (Dependent on experience) Location: Lancashire Contract: Full-time, Permanent - We are not accepting interim applicants at this time.
Age Range: 8-17 years Provision: Specialist Setting - SEMH, Autism We are working with a highly reputable Education Organisation seeking a committed and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join their Ofsted-rated 'Good' school, which serves young people aged 7-16 in Lancashire.
The Deputy Headteacher will play a critical role in leading the school community, ensuring high standards of education, safety, and well-being for every child.
Reporting directly to the Headteacher, you will be pivotal in both the strategic development and day-to-day management of the school, with a focus on delivering an exceptional educational experience for students with SEMH needs and additional challenges.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage teaching and support staff to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH, Autism, attachment disorders, and trauma, fostering positive outcomes in both their academic and personal development.
Collaborate with the Headteacher and senior leadership team on school-wide initiatives and strategic planning.
Oversee staff professional development, ensuring all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively support our young people.
Work closely with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education and well-being.
The successful candidate must: Have experience in a similar SEMH or specialist provision and a proven track record of effective school leadership.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of SEMH, Autism, attachment disorders, and trauma, and a commitment to trauma-informed practices.
Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and supporting their individual needs.
Be a skilled communicator with the ability to engage and inspire students, staff, and families.
Show resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in the face of challenges.
