We are recruiting a Deputy Headteacher to help lead a brand-new specialist school in Essex. Opening in January 2025, this state-of-the-art school will cater to students aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As Deputy Head, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of the school, working alongside the Headteacher to deliver high-quality education and support.
Key Responsibilities : Support the Headteacher in leading the strategic and daily operations of the school.
Develop and inspire teaching staff to deliver high-quality SEMH education.
Lead safeguarding, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
Monitor student progress and implement interventions for better outcomes.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide personalised support.
Assist with recruitment, training, and development of school staff.
Qualifications and Experience : Proven leadership experience in a SEN or SEMH setting.
Strong track record of improving outcomes for students with complex needs.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEN or SEMH experience.
Deep understanding of safeguarding and student well-being.
