Deputy Financial Controller Wollaston, UK £60,000 As our new Deputy Financial Controller, you'll provide financial accounting and reporting activities to the Scott Bader UK, Eire and Scandinavia teams.
You will support improvement of the quality and focus of financial reporting, business performance and liquidity whilst leading a small team that seeks to provide a high level of service to fellow colleagues, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
You'll be supporting the Financial Controller with engagement with local management teams across organisational performance and operational day–to-day matters.
Some of your key responsibilities: - You'll provide UK Site Manager with key and relevant financial performance information to allow meaningful assessment and challenge of the company performance.
- You will ensure the provision, to Scott Bader Group Finance, UK, Eire and Scandinavia entities monthly financial results (P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital monitoring, working capital performance & cashflow management).
- You'll ensure and lead compliance with internal control procedures in line with Group and Local policies.
- You will support the optimisation of working capital and seek to improve the quality and visibility of working capital performance measures and work with the business to identify opportunities for improvement.
- You'll ensure preparation of weekly cash forecasts for UK, Scandinavia and Eire, providing variance analysis commentary to the regional CFO and Finance controller UK, Eire and Scandinavia.
Reviewing borrowing facilities to ensure cashpool remains in line with cashpooling covenants.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- You hold a recognised formal accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experienced in working within a financial accounting department preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Commercial finance exposure would be a real positive.
- You have an enquiring mind with a drive to succeed, deliver excellence and effectively manage change.
