Job summary We're looking to recruit a talented and motivated senior operational leader to take up the post of Deputy Divisional Director for Surgery and Cancer.
The successful candidate will have extensive operational, people and financial management experience gained in an acute NHS setting and will need to draw upon previous experience of service planning, transformation and delivery of key performance targets to support the ambitious achievement of the recently published elective reform plan.
We're looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills who enjoys working in an energetic, challenging, and demanding environment.

This is an exciting time to join Mid Cheshire as we open our new Surgical Elective Hub at Victoria Infirmary, Northwich this spring and launch our healthier futures programme with the plan to build a new multimillion pound hospital in Crewe, Cheshire.
Main duties of the job As part of the Clinical Division and in conjunction with the Divisional Director provide operational and managerial leadership to the Division, working in partnership with the Clinical Leads and other management and professional/clinical leads.
Working as a key part of the senior Divisional management team, promote effective governance ensuring that the highest standards of clinical care and performance are delivered and that all clinical and non-clinical performance indicators, access standards and objectives are met, in line with the Trust's Operational Plan and long-term strategy.
Work with the Divisional Director, Divisional Head of Nursing and Associate Medical Director in the delivery and translation of both Divisional and Trust clinical service strategy, corporate and Divisional objectives and the development and implementation of business plans and service developments.
Ensure that quality, performance, CIP, and budgetary targets are monitored, and recovery plans are devised where necessary to enable compliance and achievement.
Support and provide strong leadership across the Division to ensure that staff are supported to deliver the best care and patient experience by putting patients and their families first and make the organisation the best place to work in the NHS by prioritising the health, wellbeing, and development of people.
About us MCHFT provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K).
The Trust provides high quality planned and emergency care, cardiac, critical care, child health, maternity services and intermediate care at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Trust provides over 500 beds and employs over 5,100 members of staff.
A comprehensive range of community services is provided across 26 medical centres and schools through our Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership.
