A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Organisational Development professional to join our People team within the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB). The newly created role of Deputy Director People Strategy and Organisational Development (OD) offers a unique opportunity to support People and Culture improvements within the Organisation and across our integrated care system and will play a crucial role in the leadership and success of the People team.
NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board was established in July 2022 and is the statutory organisation responsible for setting the strategic plan for the NHS to deliver its part of the health and care strategy across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System. The Integrated Care Board (ICB) provides leadership and structure, leading on our strategic priorities and interventions, shaping the future system, planning, and executing on the common priorities.
The People function plays an important role in supporting the Integrated Care Board to make a difference in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System and together with colleagues this post will be key to achieving this aim.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and working closely with our Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System NHS providers, the Deputy Director People Strategy and OD will be responsible for co-developing a unified organisational culture and People Plan to enable the Integrated Care Board to effectively perform its role as system leader, and our people to understand, connect with and deliver our Shared Ambitions, NHS Long term Workforce Plan and the People Promise.
The post-holder will lead the integration of EDI within the overall OD and staff engagement and experience programme for the Integrated Care Board and system that promotes a culture of inclusivity, aligns with strategic goals and meets regulatory requirements.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader and OD specialist to oversee the effective development and delivery of a strategically aligned system approach to leadership and organisational development (OD) and capability.
Minimum Requirements Extensive senior OD experience, including the development of OD plans, strategies and frameworks, gained in complex organisations. Experience of leading culture change and developing the conditions for organisational improvement. Experience of leading and delivering complex transformational change projects and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment. Leadership expertise gained in a complex healthcare or Public Sector setting. Experience of successfully operating in and delivering priorities in a partnership environment.
