Deputy Director (Global Student Recruitment & Experience) Full Time, Open ended Hybrid – 3 days office and 2 remote working We're currently recruiting for an accomplished, highly motivated professional, to play a key role in growing and diversifying Loughborough University's international student enrolments and ensuring an international student experience that is welcoming and inclusive.
Key Responsibilities: Provide the strategic vision and tactical institutional response to ensure growth and diversification in global student enrolments. Work with departments across the University to ensure that there is a seamless overview of the international student experience pre, during and post studies. Delivery of aligned objectives within the International Engagement & Impact core plan as part of the University strategy. To lead, inspire and effectively manage performance of the Global Engagement Team in partnership with the other members of the senior leadership team. Key Requirements: You'll have substantial and recent international student recruitment experience within a UK university, including experience of international travel and contributing to institutional level recruitment and marketing strategies. You'll have extensive knowledge of the international student journey, bringing to the role strong sector-leading experience of the opportunities and challenges in this area and the ability to proactively manage mitigations for an institution. You'll have experience of project management, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate with people from different cultures. You'll be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and high-performing multi cross-functional team, as well as gain stakeholder buy-in across an institution. You must have proven ability to proactively prioritise tasks, work independently and be comfortable in decision making to drive effective outcomes. A strong educational background, including at least a second class honours degree or equivalent is required.
