We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Home Manager to join a values-driven team, where you'll play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive home environment for young people with EBD needs.
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll help set high standards of care and ensure we consistently meet regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing: As Deputy Manager, you'll be a key figure in creating a positive, stable home where young people can thrive.
Leading a dedicated team, you'll manage day-to-day operations, oversee individualised care plans, and work with external agencies to provide therapeutic support.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of young people.
Key Responsibilities Include: Daily Operations: Support the Registered Manager to ensure smooth management of the home, adhering to Ofsted, Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Care Planning: Develop and update care plans tailored to each young person's emotional, educational, and therapeutic needs.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise care staff, fostering a supportive environment and guiding their professional development.
Safeguarding: Act as a safeguarding lead, implementing policies and protocols that protect young people's welfare.
Collaboration: Partner with social workers, healthcare providers, families, and education staff to deliver well-rounded support.
Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, staffing, and ensure the home remains a safe, welcoming space for residents.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 3 years in children's residential care, with knowledge of Ofsted standards and best practices.
Skills & Traits: Strong team leadership, understanding of Ofsted legislation, excellent communication skills, and emotional resilience to manage challenging situations effectively.
