Are you excited by the opportunity to deputise for the Chief Officer whilst also taking on the role of Deputy Port Facility Security Officer for the Liverpool and Manchester Port Security Authority (PSA)?
We are seeking a Deputy Chief Officer/Inspector to join the Port of Liverpool Police, and help us keep the world moving!
Your role In this role you will manage and lead Port of Liverpool Police supervisors, ensuring the maximum required support is provided to all Police staff.
You will provide practical crime reduction and safety advice and support to all port users, passing on knowledge and advice to all colleagues.
You will support audits and inspection compliance to specific ISPS plans at Port Operators facilities across the Port of Liverpool and Manchester Ship Canal.
You will recommend increased security measures with a view to delivering added value flexible security solutions influenced by the level or risk to Port Operators.
You will support the Mersey Port Operators in promoting new business growth and sustaining existing business by promoting and enforcing the highest standards of security and safety.
What you'll bring You will be qualified to Inspector level with recent experience in a Home Office or associated UK policing service.
You will have the ability to manage, motivate and maintain compliance to safe working standards amongst all staff members.
With excellent communication skills, you will show a high level of enthusiasm and commitment throughout all aspects of the role.
You will hold a valid driving licence with detailed knowledge of current legislation, procedures and national Police policy.
You will be willing and able to work as part of an on call rota as and when required.
