Job advert Staffordshire Police – Deputy Chief Constable"A key leader in bringing Staffordshire Police back to outstanding".As Chief Constable the most important decision I will make is who I appoint as my Deputy Chief Constable.
That role is key in realising the Staffordshire Police vision of becoming an outstanding local police service that cares.I am looking for an individual with demonstrable strategic level command experience, a proven track record of delivery and an engaged leadership style, who leads with people and who has compassion not just for victims and public but for their staff.
I welcome conversations and ultimately applications from engaged leaders who are comfortable being visible and present with our staff, who support and challenge their workforce in an emotionally intelligent way, and who do detail but not other peoples' jobs for them.Day to day, my expectation is that my Deputy Chief Constable will be driving business, doing the detail of the organisation, whilst striking the careful balance of empowering staff and leaders to be innovative, creative and own the risk and quality-of-service realities in their area.

Eligibility Criteria; Applicants must have successfully completed the Strategic Command Course or The Police Leadership Programme (PLP) - Stage 5 (Executive Leaders) .
Non United Kingdom applicants must have served in an approved overseas police force rank.
