The Role We are looking for a welcoming and enthusiastic Deputy Castle Manager , a front of house professional to be the first point of contact for guests at Aldourie Castle.
In this key role, you will ensure every guest receives a warm, personalised welcome and is attended to throughout their stay.
Your role is to create a seamless and exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure, helping to maintain the high standards of service and attention to detail that Aldourie is known for.
You will: Be an exemplary leader and host leading the Front of House Team as Deputy Castle Manager.
Lead, train and develop the FoH Team to be outstanding hosts.
Partnering with the Head Chef, manage the day to day operational delivery of the guest experience, specifically focusing on front of house and the food and beverage service.
Develop and continuously improve operating standards.
Contribute to sales and marketing activities and plans.
Greet guests upon arrival, providing a warm and professional welcome.
Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Act as the main point of contact for guests, answering questions and addressing special requests.
Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and catering, to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
Provide information about the castle, its history, and the local area to enhance the guest experience.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
Assist in the preparation of guest areas, ensuring they are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Support event coordination by providing front-of-house services for private bookings and events.
Uphold WildLand's values in guest interactions, ensuring a positive reflection of our commitment to heritage and sustainability.
Essential experience & skills Primarily we are looking for individuals who share our purpose, passion and values.
To be successful in this role you will need an engaging personality, positivity and resilience and great people and organisational skills.
You must have: Leadership: A proven track record as a respected F&B / Front Of House team leader.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Quality Restaurant and Hospitality Experience: Proven experience in a high quality restaurant / hotel or estate, as a Front of House Team Leader or Manager or demonstrate you ready for this step.
Guest Relations Experience: Proven experience in a front-of-house role, ideally in a luxury hotel or estate or high quality restaurant.
Guest Relations: Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and address their needs professionally.
Results Orientated: You will be highly effective through leadership and the guest experience to delivery of strategic and operational goals.
Problem-solving: Ability to manage issues quickly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Organisation: Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
