Deputy Home Manager (Nursing) Location: Wroxham, Norfolk Salary: £50,000 per year Job Type: Permanent, salaried position About the Role Minerva Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to assist in managing a high-quality nursing care home.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the homes success by ensuring outstanding care and smooth operations.
As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in meeting or exceeding the homes goals and take full managerial responsibility in their absence.
You will play a crucial role in mentoring and supervising care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining exceptional standards of personalised care.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the daily operations of the care home, ensuring goals are met and high-quality care is delivered.
Supervise and train care staff, leading by example to maintain excellence in all aspects of their roles.
Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents and regularly review and update care plans and records.
Communicate effectively with residents families, external organisations, and the internal team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Take the lead in safeguarding practices and identify appropriate referral pathways for safeguarding concerns.
Promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in care planning and evaluation.
Support compliance with CQC standards, fostering a culture of continual improvement and regulatory excellence.
Skills and Attributes: Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
Ability to engage with residents to understand and meet their care needs.
Comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong relationships with care professionals, families, and team members.
Commitment to fostering a culture of person-centred care and teamwork.
Qualifications: NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (essential).
