About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a talented team of English teachers, driving academic excellence and student achievement.
As Department Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective teaching strategies, ensuring high standards of learning and fostering a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities: To provide visionary leadership and direction to the English department, aligning with the school's strategic objectives.
To promote and maintain high-quality teaching practices, addressing areas for improvement through coaching, mentoring, and training.
To analyse and interpret examination results, identifying trends and areas for development to inform targeted interventions.
To contribute to the faculty's annual self-review report, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
To ensure effective use of self-review tools, incorporating student feedback to enhance the learning experience.
To prepare and implement departmental improvement plans, embedding best practices and monitoring progress.
