We provide a range of person-centred dementia support services for individuals with dementia and their carers with centres in:NuneatonAtherstoneRugbyHenley in ArdenWarwickDementia Day Opportunities provide a sociable atmosphere where engaging, fun activities are tailored to members; periods of quiet time are built in to meet the needs and preferences of each person.
These include:Arts and Crafts Interesting and Interactive Activities and Stimulation Socialising and Conversation GamesWe aim to encourage choice, independence, and improvement in quality of life.
At our centres we provide a safe, caring, and secure environment a home from home with the added opportunity to form new friendships and enjoy the company of local people from different backgrounds, and with varied skills and interests.We are looking for a part-time Support Worker to provide care and support to those who access our day opportunities, promoting choice, inclusion and independence at all times.
Main duties of the job You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated staff team, providing emotional, social and personal support to individuals and groups.
Your base centre will be in Nuneaton, however you may be expected to cover (with notice) an alternative centre.

To deliver person centred support to individuals living with dementia in a community day support setting.2.
To help prepare and plan the delivery of a range of stimulating activities with individuals living with dementia in line with their requirements.3.
To be able to respect, identify and support the emotional needs of people living with dementia.4.
To work as part of a team and liaise with other team members and communicate any concerns to the team leader.5.
Ensure the active involvement and empowerment of service users through all aspects of the role.6.
Undertake these duties within a framework that recognises the diversity of clients and encourages equality and opportunity for all.7.
To undertake home visits when required to meet the needs of this client group8.
To step into supervisory role when required to support the Team Leader and delivery of the Day Opportunities service9.
Maintain an awareness of local/national initiatives in respect of the development of day support services and working with this client group.10.
To undertake training appropriate to the job requirements.11.
To work in accordance with the governments Covid safe working guidelines at all times12.
To undertake other reasonable tasks as may be required by team leader.13.
To have regard to Health and Safety aspects of establishment, staff and clients in line with the charitys policies and procedures relevant to this service.Skills1.
Must be a driver and have your own vehicle to fulfil the role2.
Must be able to work flexibly as required according to the needs of the client and the service3.
Be able to conduct suitable activities at day support in liaison with the Team Leader in developing activities the clients have requested.4.
Be caring, compassionate and understanding of the diagnosis of dementia5.
Be an active team member contributing to a positive, happy experience for the clients6.
Maintain or contribute to support plans and on each client and other relevant paperwork.

To have own vehicle and a full have full driving licence.
