Demand & Supply Planner - £40,000 pa Location: Chelmsford, Essex Type: Permanent - Full Time - Office Based Are you ready to advance your career in demand planning?

The Role We are searching for a highly skilled and driven Demand Planner to play a key role in creating accurate demand forecasts.
You will be part of an ambitious team shaping supply chain operations and supporting a five-year growth plan that promises innovation and impact.
This is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your forecasting expertise will help optimise production, balance supply and demand, and drive sustainable efficiency.
Responsibilities Create precise demand forecasts using data analysis, sales performance, and market trends.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to integrate promotions, product launches, and seasonal variations.
Prepare comprehensive demand planning reports for senior leadership.
Develop production schedules that maximise output while meeting customer demand.
Streamline inventory management to ensure the availability of raw materials and finished goods.
Support short-, medium--, and long-term planning for producing raw materials and finished goods.
Assist in supplier evaluations and cost negotiations for raw materials and packaging.
Collaborate on sustainability initiatives and ensure full product traceability.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
CIPS certification is a bonus!
Experience & Skills 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or forecasting.
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, or Sage X3, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Salesforce, and Reflex.
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, procurement, and inventory management.
A proactive problem solver with a mindset for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
