Are you a responsible, customer-oriented Van Delivery Driver looking for an exciting opportunity?
Salvo 1968, a leading Italian food wholesaler based in Cheshunt, is seeking a reliable Van Delivery Driver to join our dedicated team.
Drive with us and help deliver the finest Italian goods to our depots and customers.
Position: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £26,500 per annum.
Working Hours: 42.5 Hours per week, 6am - 3:30pm from Monday to Friday.
Saturday work may be required, as overtime.
Role Responsibilities: Vehicle & Equipment Checks: Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and equipment; ensure all delivery tools are present; perform regular fuel and fluid checks; empty the vehicle of debris daily Driving & Safety: Follow speed and weight limits; adhere to road safety regulations; report incidents to the Transport Office immediately; comply with EU driving hours.
Load Security & Delivery: Secure loads; handle deliveries with care; use handheld devices for recording; place items in appropriate storage at delivery points; ensure premises are securely locked.
Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean vehicle interior; no smoking or vaping allowed.
Communication & Reporting: Stay in contact with the depot; use phones for work-related communication only; complete paperwork accurately.
PPE Compliance: Wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
Brand Representation: Maintain professionalism as a representative of the Salvo brand.
Delivery Assistant Duties: You will be required to support deliveries as a helper to our drivers operating larger vehicles.
