The role We're seeking an enthusiastic marketing and sales professional to help the CEO manage and execute our marketing and sales activities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a PR, communications, or marketing professional who thrives on building relationships and wants to develop their career in a unique, purpose-driven environment.

Key responsibilities Manage and execute marketing and sales strategies in collaboration with the CEO  Oversee the creation of campaign materials, including newsletters, content, and award entries  Identify and secure speaking opportunities and events  Build and maintain client relationships through regular networking at industry events  Support the development of proposals and pitches  Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure seamless handover of new clients  Administer our CRM system and sales pipeline  Support planning and managing events  Work with our graphic designers to support the creation of engaging, on-brand content across various platforms  Our top priority is finding the right person to fit our culture, who understands our clients' challenges to support our 'solution and values-based' selling approach.

Required experience & skills Minimum 2 years' experience in PR, communications, or marketing  Understanding of military culture (through personal or professional experience)  Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you must enjoy presenting!)
Proven networking abilities and active listening skills  Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to clients' communications and marketing challenges  Interest in STEM subjects, defence, and security technology  Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)  Proficiency in creating professional presentations and documents  Valid driving licence and regular access to a vehicle The ideal candidate Is a proactive self-starter with lots of future potential  Demonstrates professional presence and confidence  Shows genuine interest in technology and its applications  Has excellent presentation and networking skills  Possesses strong attention to detail  Can manage multiple projects and priorities effectively  Is ambitious and eager to grow with our company  Essential requirements Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete the security vetting process  Must be able to travel regularly (4-6 times per month) to events, primarily in London, the South and Midlands  Must have experience and understanding of military culture  What we offer Salary depended on capability and experience  Flexible, hybrid working arrangement (one day per week in our Porton Science Park office, with potential for full remote work for the right candidate)  Dedicated training budget for professional development (including CIPR and sales qualifications)  Contributory pension scheme  24 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)  Benefits package and bonus scheme  Supportive and collaborative work culture  Significant autonomy but with proper support  Clear path for career progression in a high-growth company  The opportunity to 'cut your teeth' in sales, building on your previous PR, communications and marketing experience  Regular consideration for promotion  Why join Canny?
