Day Centre Support Worker- Bank/Relief.  £12 ph.
At Avon Support's Community Hub, we are looking for support workers to join our team to promote independence in a fun and inclusive environment.
You will be supporting people to develop their life skills and independence, encourage learning and developing skills that are fun and engaging too!
Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one and group support to individuals with learning disabilities and or, challenging behaviours Assist with daily activities, personal care and social interaction Facilitate engaging activities and encourage participation Maintain a safe and positive environment for all clients Communicate effectively with clients' families and healthcare providers We are looking for; Compassionate and patient individuals with strong desire to help others Excellent communication and people skills Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations Experience working with challenging behaviours is preferred Company benefits  Employee wellbeing scheme (including free face to face counselling, helplines, and online support) Employee Discount Scheme – Discounts on everyday items including shopping and fuel L.O.V.E (Living our Values Everyday) – rewards and recognition scheme Random Surprise Gifts of Kindness throughout the year!

On the first floor we also have a chill out zone upstairs where activities can take place, a chill zone for relaxation and video games, interactive screens, I.T station and we also have a sensory room.
We organise various trips out of the Hub with fun activities throughout the day, playing sports and visiting local attractions, we also go to concerts, bowling nights, cinemas, social events, meals out and plenty more!!
All our trips and activities are discussed and decided by the individuals who use our service.
