Job summary The Datix system is a suite of modules for Risk, Incidents, Complaints, PALS, Claims, Inquests & Contacts through which the organisation coordinates and manages its patient safety, quality and risk obligations.
To ensure data is submitted timely internally and externally (NRLS/ LFPSE)To support Datix/ LFPSE projects/ Patient Safety Incident Review Frameworks, develop plans alongside the Patient Safety Incident Lead.
To escalate issues around Datix, data, NRLS, LFPSE to the Patient Safety Incident Lead.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day technical management of the system and business continuity.
This includes troubleshooting of complex problems and system errors, liaising with the system supplier and developing the system for the purpose of good governance and efficient front end user experience.
They will develop Standard Operating Procedures, SBARS and Technical Support documents, adhere to change control processes, and communicate changes in system functionality to all key stakeholder The post holder will develop and deliver virtual and face to face Datix training.
In liaison with the Education team they will develop Datix user modules for induction, clinical personnel, investigators, first line supervisors and approvers of Datix records.
Main duties of the job Act as the lead for the Trust Risk Management system (Datix) and be the responsible person and contact in all related queries/issues associated with the system.Investigate and analyse situations where the Datix system is not performing as expected, either through system error, user error or network issues, and rectify and manage accordingly.Supports the analytical work of the team by producing ad-hoc reports using data exported from Datix, LFPSE, NRLS, utilising analytical skills to identify errors or anomalies in the data and rectify accordingly.Responsible for maintenance and periodic review of the system's business continuity plan Provide ad hoc and routine training for Trust staff, tailored to meet the varying needs of staff across the Trust.
This includes the development and maintenance of user manuals to support training.
They should also maintain records of this training.Create dashboards including monthly, weekly and quarterly data for specific staff groups governance, ward managers.Provide timely Datix information for all FOIs requests, for submission to relevant committees, regulators and to comply with regulatory frameworks Develop online training program/material and training manuals to assist staff in system use.To supervise the incident team on a day-to-day basis, Band 4, Band 3.Conduct appraisals and monthly supervision within line management responsibilities for the Band 4 & Band 3 staff About us CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to Degree and / equivalent technical knowledge of Datix or equivalent system.
Datix Certified Professional ECDL or equivalent IT qualification Desirable Continuing Professional Development in Safety system management Mentoring and coaching qualification A leadership qualification Knowledge and Expertise Essential Datix system experience / knowledge Health services and the delivery of healthcare Proficient in use of IT, Excel, Word Demonstrates a knowledge of the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and LFPSE (Learning from Patient Safety Events.
Working knowledge of NHS incident management reporting systems.
Working knowledge of using local risk management systems including implementation of new configurations.
Excellent working knowledge of database technology, query building and report writing.
Experience and expertise in data analysis and presenting this in an accessible way.
Experience of effective working independently, including prioritising and managing workload.
Experience of handling highly sensitive information with discretion.
Experience of working in a complex changing environment and the ability to prioritise.
Experience of undertaking judgements involving complex facts or situations, which require the analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.
Able to plan and organise a broad range of complex activities or programmes Demonstrable project management experience.
