Database Researcher / Senior Researcher / Principal Researcher - R&D center - Edinburgh, Scotland We have partnered with a global technology leader collaborating with the University of Edinburgh on groundbreaking research and development of next-generation database systems.
We are seeking PhD-level researchers to join a dedicated industry-research group, working on both theoretical and applied research to shape future data management technologies.
The team is expanding and seeking individuals skilled in areas such as:Database systems (transactional/analytical)Query processing and optimizationStorage and indexing enginesParallel/concurrent algorithms and distributed computingGraph algorithms, programming languages, or operating systemsKey Responsibilities:Conduct systems research on future data management systemsDesign and implement core components for next-gen data processing systemsContribute to major open-source projectsAttend prestigious global conferences and publish in top-tier journalsCollaborate with academics, including the University of Edinburgh, and other R&D teamsQualifications:Strong computer science backgroundProficiency in system-level programming languages (C/C++, Rust, Java, Go)Expertise in databases, algorithms, or system designExcellent communication skills in EnglishPublished in peer-reviewed conferences or journals (preferred)Complete our Compensation and Benefits in Niche Tech Industries Survey here: https://www.Surveymonkey.Com/r/6MXGW39By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
