Job Title: Data Quality & Metadata Lead
Location: Leeds / hybrid - 1 day per month on site
Salary: £48,000 plus bonus Why Apply?

Our client, a highly respected Yorkshire-based organisation, have data at the forefront of their commercial strategy.
This is your opportunity to take full ownership of data quality and descriptive metadata.
With the business modernising its tech stack, this is your chance to lead initiatives that will maximise the catalogue's potential, ultimately enabling its broader rollout across the company.

Responsibilities:
Manage, refine, and evolve the enterprise data catalogue.
Govern metadata, including data dictionary definitions, business glossary, and data lineage.
Define, execute, and communicate metadata management standards and processes.
Deliver training to drive adoption and effective usage of the data catalogue.
Collaborate with data owners/consumers to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of data cataloguing practices.
Maintain supplier relationships and oversee upgrades, patches, and product enhancements.

Requirements:
Proven experience in data cataloguing, data governance, data stewardship, or similar roles.
Experience with SAP Business Objects and/or Business Objects Data Services (BODS) would be beneficial, but other similar tooling will be considered.
Strong knowledge of metadata management, including data dictionaries, reference data, and data quality rules.
Demonstrated ability to design processes, standards, and roadmaps for data cataloguing.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and collaborate across teams.
Self-starter with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
