Head of Data Governance

Remote working with occasional office travel is required.
Interviews begin mid-December via a remote process.

Role Overview
As Head of Data Governance, you will lead critical areas such as data quality, governance, maturity, master data management (MDM), and data lineage.
Your role will include implementing and embedding Azure Purview while integrating governance practices throughout the organisation.
You will work closely with Data Engineering and BI teams to align governance efforts with business goals, ensuring effective controls and risk management essential for the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework.
Drive the adoption of Azure Purview and embed governance into processes.
Lead data quality improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Ensure governance frameworks include controls to manage risks and maintain compliance.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Build and grow the Data Governance team, fostering collaboration and development.

What We're Looking For
Extensive experience in data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance in financial or regulated industries.
Expertise in Azure Purview and governance frameworks.
Proven ability to integrate controls and manage risks effectively.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
