Our client, an established and innovative insurance company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the Role: As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company's data is effectively managed, secure, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
You will oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce data governance strategies, policies, and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
Establish and manage data quality frameworks, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accurate data across all systems.
Work closely with business and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
Lead and manage data governance projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on data governance policies, data stewardship, and best practices.
Monitor and enforce compliance with data governance standards, performing audits and reporting on data management activities.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and data management enhancements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and data regulations that could impact data governance practices.
Key Requirements: Proven experience in a Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data management best practices, and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, Solvency II).
Experience working with data management tools and technologies (e.g., data cataloging, master data management, data lineage tools).
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams, to drive data governance initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data governance concepts to non-technical audiences.
A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management) or equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills: Experience in the insurance industry or financial services is highly advantageous.
Hands on experience working with experience working with the Purview system.
