Data Engineer Day Rate: Up to £850 - Outside IR35 Duration: 6 Months + Extensions Location: Hereford - Hybrid Travel: 4 days onsite per week Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity: The UK's #1 UK Digital Solutions Provider seeks a talented Data Engineer to support the E2E design, build and delivery of a complex data transformation programme the MoD.
Required Skills/Experience: Security Clearance: Active Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance Data Architecture & Engineering : Design scalable architectures and build resilient ETL pipelines, automating data integration and transformation.
Data Modelling & Governance: Develop optimised data models for OLTP/OLAP systems while ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with GDPR/HIPAA.
SQL & Python: Advanced data processing, automation, and orchestration proficiency.
Database Migration & Cloud Warehousing : Lead migrations (e.g., Oracle to Snowflake) and manage cloud data warehouses (AWS Redshift/Snowflake) to ensure performance and scalability.
ETL & IaC: Develop efficient ETL processes and automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
CI/CD Pipelines: Maintain automated deployment, testing, and monitoring pipelines for efficient delivery.
