About You as Data Engineer: We are looking for a self-starting Data Engineer, who can work autonomously and provide outside of the box solutions to data driven activity at Love Finance.
This role will offer the Data Engineer a from scratch project to take ownership of Love Finance data and deliver effective solutions through a rapid business growth period.
Role: Data Engineer Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid Location: Birmingham City Centre Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 per annum The Role of the Data Engineer: Systems Experience: Must have a combination of knowledge across platforms such as; PostgresSQL, Python, Big Query, Diagtools, Dagster, AirFlow, Apache Hop, Talend Engineering data processing systems, using data modelling and storage techniques to facilitate the efficient storage and retrieval of data for the business Leveraging the data collection and storage processes to provide timely and accurate reporting in line with the business needs Work alongside and advise the data science team in the production of database systems that can support complex data processing workloads Using the latest techniques and cloud-based approaches as part of an overall data architecture, providing input into the data architecture and standards Maintain the data storage and processing systems Liaise with the business and IT teams to keep the data estate relevant to the business requirements The Data Engineer will be an expert in one or a number of Database and Processing technologies such as PostgresSQL, BigQuery and columns-based DBs and have a broad knowledge of NoSQL and cloud data options especially in GCP Experience of Data Vault 2.0, Python and ETL/LT would be advantageous
