Join our startup this winter break as a Data Analysis Intern.
Over 2–3 weeks, you'll dive into a rich dataset of vocabulary tests with 10M+ items to explore key questions about language learning and share your findings in a compelling article.
This is a paid internship with flexible work options.
What you'll do: Analyse a dataset of vocabulary tests and participant demographics (e.g., age, native language, education).
Identify trends, such as: Words most challenging for English learners.
Patterns specific to speakers of certain languages.
Write a compelling article that explains your findings through clear storytelling and data-driven insights.
Collaborate with the team to refine your analysis and visualisations.
Conduct literature reviews to understand prior work in the field.
Skills needed: Strong writing skills to communicate ideas clearly and creatively.
Understanding of data analysis and statistics principles (e.g.
hypothesis testing).
Interest in language learning, linguistics, or related fields.
Familiarity with any tools (Python, R, Excel, etc.)
to analyse and visualise data.
