We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Music and Dance instructor to join our close-knot team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge, Hillingdon.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with complex young people.
We require an experienced and qualified teacher who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school.
This role is based in our Secondary Site, teaching classes aged between 11 and 19, but we are happy to accept applications from candidates with QTS status, whether their experience is in Primary or Secondary Teaching.
About the role As Dance Teacher for Hillingdon Manor School you will be responsible for developing and improving the skills of the students within the school, whilst encouraging positive learning.
You will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.
The pupils may display some challenging behaviour due to their different needs, so staff are required to have experience.

This role is offered for one year.
Your duties would include:
Plan, deliver and teach small groups.
Devise, implement and review individual education and behaviour plans alongside other staff, communicating regularly with parents, carers, teaching and clinical staff to ensure consistency
Positively contribute to the overall programme of learning for each pupil to ensure their progression and development whilst promoting the love for dance and movement.
Organise your classroom, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students
Safeguard all students and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
Key Skills Required Have proven experience of teaching pupils with ASD in either a primary or secondary setting Have a good working knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and assessment procedures including working Confident and enthusiastic with the ability to create lesson plans to suit student needs Experience in teaching Music and Dance to a wide range of pupils Safeguarding is everybody's business.
The welfare and safeguarding of pupils should be of paramount consideration, whatever your role or level of responsibility is within the organisation.
All employees, panel members, independent workers and volunteers are required to ensure compliance with the company's guidance and policy on safeguarding and are required to attend Safeguarding training appropriate to their level of responsibility.
QTS or QTLS status is essential for this role About us At Hillingdon Manor, we provide specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 3.5 and 19.
Located across two sites.
Our Secondary School supports around 125 pupils.
Our pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and all pupils work towards a variety of qualifications dependent on their needs and ability.
This role will have responsibility for teaching pupils who are aged 11 - 14, but work at a variety of different levels, so we welcome applications from teachers with Primary level SEN experience.
