Cyber Security Consultant Glasgow (Hybrid - 2/3 days p/w) Up to £55,000 + Benefits About the Opportunity MBN Solutions are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join our clients Cyber team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing large-scale security projects and will focus on developing strategies to strengthen security defences and ensure systems, networks, and applications are safeguarded against evolving cyber threats.
You will be an expert in driving security improvements, identifying risks, and leading initiatives to enhance organisational security.
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing and managing large-scale security projects, conducting assessments of systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
Development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies to strengthen security defences and ensure systems are secure.
Providing expert guidance on best practices for securing systems and data, while assisting in the implementation of security controls and solutions.
Staying up to date with cyber security trends and threats, and effectively communicate technical details to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with IT teams to address findings from penetration testing and support the GRC team with policy updates.
About You Prior experience in cyber security, with a proven track record of managing stakeholders and large security projects.
Expertise in implementing solutions aligned with NIST CSF, CIS v8.0, and CE+ frameworks.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication & influencing skills.
Experience coaching/mentoring junior team members.
Experience in completing project documentation and following organizational processes.
