A major UK and International Freight Forwarder is looking for a number of customs operators to join their expanding team.
Knowledge of customs operations and documentation is a must, The role will include carrying out customs clearances.
Must know customs processes and procedures.

one at 04:00am-12:00pm and one 12:00pm to 20:00 or 14:00 to 22:00.
ROLE: T o join a customs operations team responsible for overseeing all International Import, Export & UK Domestic Inbound & Outbound transport movements.
The role will include ERTS (Customs) Clearance.
The client will act as Inland Clearance Depot upon Import and Export.
Shipments destined for, or arrived from, within the EU will require Customs Clearance to be processed before Transport can be arranged.
The applicant must be, organised, punctual and have good CPU skills.
This is a key process role where attention to detail is critical.

All training is given.
The ability to work under pressure is important.
Main purpose of Job: Checking documentation of import arrivals, create documentation or export trailer leaving the UK.
They will ensure all HMRC documents are prepared correctly and that the depots receive clear instruction on cargo when it is released.
Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and customers around documentation.
This will involve the use of IT to interface with HMRC systems and monitor the clearance status of shipments.
Maintaining records of clearance, being organised and accurate with all systems are essential requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Excellent IT skills Good communication skills with colleagues and external customers knowledge of Customs processes or systems Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner, Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.
