Customs Analyst (6 Month Ftc)

We are working with a well-established retailer who is looking for a Customs Analyst to join their team in Coventry on a 6 month contract.
You will be responsible for Completion of assorted Customs & Excise declarations and assisting the business to ensure it is legally compliant with Customs & Excise regulations.
Responsibilities; Complete Customs and Excise returns Settle deferment statements with Import declarations Carry out compliance checks on Customs and Excise declarations Provide training to internal colleagues Review internal procedures to ensure up to date Provide support to company on HTS Code classifications Conduct compliance checks on Export documentation Support the Customs & Excise wider team where required Effectively interpret HMRC customs notices and other information papers Support overarching business goals Build relationships with internal and external networks Complete Customs & Excise processes and procedures are compliant and up to date Skills Required ; Be knowledgeable of Customs & Excise processes and regulatory tax returns Excellent understanding of the Customs & Excise within wider Tax implications Proficient IT Skills Strong leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good attention to detail
