Job summary To provide clerical and administrative support to the Planned investigation Unit (PIU) administration team and to complete the NVQ training programme.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
*** Main duties of the job Support the PIU administration team in the delivery of accurate and timely clerical service for the planned investigation unit.
The department consists of nurses, technicians and an administration team.
The planned investigation unit is within the medicine care group.
The department provides support to service lines across the hospital including, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Interventional Radiology and many others.

Carry out administration tasks as appropriate, this includes printing,photocopying, scanning, filing, collating information.
Preparation of hospital notes for patient appointments.
Reception duties.
Requesting and tracing of hospital notes .
General Filling.
Take appropriate actions with regard to telephone calls from patients,GPs and other agencies using initiative, in adherence to Trust guidelines.
Opening the post.
Printing, processing and distribution of referrals.
Adding referrals and waiting list to iPM.
Booking appointments via iPM as required.
Distribution of hospital notes received and daily distribution of hospitalnotes for clinics.
