Summary of main purpose of role:To provide outstanding support to all service users, directing to other team members as and when needed for more specific support needsEnsure that all customers – staff, students, visitors, stakeholders are welcomed into the college.DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIESTo provide a friendly and efficient reception and front-of-house service and deal with enquiries quickly and efficientlyTo support students with daily enquiries, respond and sign post to relevant personnel or resourcesTo ensure that all students have a positive experience when accessing the serviceTo support learners with academic support needs, research, exam and assessment preparation, general advice and guidance both onsite and offsiteTo use the electronic learner ID system to photograph new learners and process ID requestsTo efficiently handle enquiries via telephone and electronic/social mediaTo monitor security and behaviour within the reception areaTo maintain and implement the college security policy ensuring that security is not breached.To handle cash and use the till to enter paymentsTo take responsibility for departmental procurement as requiredPROFESSIONAL DUTIES To work to ensure continuous quality improvement and service excellence.Undertake such duties as may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility and nature of the job in discussion with your line manager.The post holder may be required to undertake occasional evening and weekend work.Standard responsibilities for all positions in NCG:Participate in any staff review/performance management processes involving the identifying and meeting of training needs for self and others.
