Together, we will revalue rail as a very special way to travel – relaxing, fast, efficient, friendly and fun.Your main responsibilities will be: Delivering a high level of service to customersAssisting in the day to day operation of the automatic ticket barriersEnsuring customer security and responding to customer enquiriesInspecting and issuing ticketsAddressing customer needs in times of service disruptionEnsuring the professional appearance of the gateline area by clearing rubbish and making sure customer walkways are unobstructedSelling tickets via a mobile ticket machine and associated accountancy processes You'll need to be: Able to deliver exceptional front line customer serviceA Self-starter with a can do attitudeConfident when decision makingAble to remain calm yet directive in a crisisAble to work to strict procedures As a minimum you will need to have: The ability to work as part of a team or independentlyEvidence of numerical abilityStrong verbal and written communication skills Working pattern This role involves working shifts including weekends and bank holidays.Additional information Once you submit your application form, you will be invited to undertake an online situational judgement test.
Applicants successfully short listed, will be invited to a competency based interview with the hiring manager.
The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for this role, including drugs and alcohol screen.
A Basic DBS will also be required.Full training is provided which will take place in our Training Centre in Swindon.
