The Position We are looking for casual matchday stewards who ideally hold their NVQ Level 2 certificate in spectator safety to play a vital role in our matchday operations.
Your top priority will be fulfilling safety and security duties, providing the best-in-class service to stadium attendees and enhancing the supporter and customer experience.
You will be positioned in various locations around the stadium staffing the turnstiles, exit gates, the stands etc.
You will need to be available for match-days, which could be during the evening or at weekends.
This is a great opportunity for those who want to enjoy flexibility in their work patterns, and some earn extra money.
What you'll do Provide information and assistance to spectators and staff arriving at the Kia Oval.
Checking tickets of all spectators arriving at the venue.
Should they be in an incorrect location, redirect them accordingly.
Monitoring and controlling spectators during ingress and egress to limit overcrowding.
Dealing with spectator/crowd disruptions.
Assist with the evacuation of the venue and direct spectators to the relevant holding areas as directed by their supervisor.
Report any incidents or potential hazards to your supervisor or control room and taking any immediate action that may be needed.
Requirements The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience/skills/qualities: Essential: Candidates must be aged 18 or over.
Full right to work in the UK.
Physically fit and mobile.
Great communication skills- both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills.
Desirable: Having or working towards NVQ2 in spectator safety is desired but not essential.
Training may be available.
Enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team and follow instruction.
Reliable and self- motivated.
Strong time keeping skills.
Well presented at all times.
Professional with high standards and integrity.
Benefits £13.85 per hour excluding holiday pay.
