Due to sustained growth, an opportunity has arisen to work as part of a busy Professional Services team for Giacom, an industry leading billing software business which boasts well known telecommunication brands as loyal customers.
You will work with the Professional Services team and will be responsible for onboarding new customers and acquisitions into both the aBILLity and Affinity bespoke billing platforms.
As a Professional Services engineer you will also be responsible for rolling out new modules and updating the customer's databases in line with bespoke customer requests.
You will work closely with the Project Management team and the Billing Specialists to ensure the entire onboarding process runs efficiently.
The role requires close liaison with customers to establish and document specific requirements, report progress of projects both internally and externally and demands somebody capable of analysing data, and having meticulous attention to detail, as you will be regularly performing data migration / conversion tasks including cleansing and de-duplication.
The role would suit somebody who is technically minded and enjoys working on and learning new software platforms.
What you'll be doing Configuring new instances of Giacom's systems aBILLity and Affinity for use by new customers.
This will include setting up blank systems and migrating the customer's existing data into the new system.
Analysis of customer source systems and processes Understand, capture and perform data migration / conversion requirements including data cleansing and de-duplication from customer platforms.
Run Customer Data Migration workshops.
Management of data migration tools / applications and liaise with Giacom development and architecture teams to ensure continued enhancement of these tools.
Review and report migration results.
Assist customers in reviewing migrated / converted data.
Provide input and guidance to the implementation Project Manager as appropriate for project planning purposes.
Pro-actively identify and address issues that can delay the project and pre agreed delivery dates.
Your Skills & Qualifications Good knowledge of the SQL database language.
Strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at various degrees of technical understanding within the organisation.
An understanding of good customer service and be able to communicate with customers effectively to determine customer requirements and manage expectations.
Able to communicate with customers effectively to give feedback and progress on current implementations.
Able to communicate with customers effectively to give an overview/basic training of new modules configured within their systems.
Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to multitask and cope with a busy and varied workload.
