We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Curriculum Lead for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.Role SummaryAs the Curriculum Lead for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality, innovative curriculum that meets the needs of apprentices and their employers.
This role involves working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is engaging, well-developed, and aligned with relevant standards and priorities.Scope and PurposeThe Curriculum Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience and outcomes for apprentices.
You will foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the Apprenticeship provision.
This role requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, as well as a passion for seeking out opportunities to strengthen existing provision.Essential CriteriaWe are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant subject, Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths, and a Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
You should have a proven track record of building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, experience in developing curriculum plans, managing a team, and handling budgetary and physical resources.
Additionally, you should possess excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and have an understanding of quality assurance processes.
Personal qualities such as energy, drive, flexibility, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion are essential.Daily ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and continuously improve the curriculum for higher and degree apprenticeshipsEnsure alignment with local, regional, and national priorities, funding rules, and statutory requirementsDevelop innovative teaching and learning strategies to enhance learner engagement and successLead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery and support staffEnsure compliance with all relevant funding rules, policies, and proceduresPrepare and submit accurate reports and documentation as requiredManage the budget and resources allocated to the curriculum areaIdentify and secure additional opportunities to support curriculum growthCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of learnersImplement quality assurance processes to ensure high standards and continuous improvementMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessmentDevelop strategies to support apprentice retention, progression, and achievementIf you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of apprentices and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
