Weekly paid hours – Flexible shift options – ongoing work We are looking for friendly, patient, and outgoing candidates to support at a respite service based within Staveley.
You will be working alongside an experienced and friendly team to deliver the very best care to the residents within the service.
The purpose-built service boosts open-plan facilities as well as well-furnished and equipped rooms for the residents.
Job Details: You will ensure that all care plans are followed to ensure that the service users receive the level of support appropriate to them and to better understand their likes and dislikes, tailoring your support accordingly. You will undertake personal care duties as well as observation checks to ensure that the residents are safe and their hygiene is maintained.
You will take part in activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained during their stay at the service.
You will ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment (inc. hoists, slide sheets, and rotundas) to assist the residents around the property as required.
You will always oversee the health and safety of the service users under your care.
You may be required to undertake some basic cleaning duties, ensuring that all relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures are followed.
Hours: 07:00 to 14:30 14:30 to 22:00 Shifts are offered every week and can be on various days between Monday to Sunday The pay rate for this role is: £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00 £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00 To apply for this role you must: Be able to provide 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc.
Practical moving and handling training) Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
Have a minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
Have a full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.
