We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Glasgow.As a service engineer with Stewart Plant Sales, you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on Construction Plant equipment alongside Crushing and Screening equipment.Previous crusher experience would be advantageous, but not essential. Who are we?The Scot JCB Group is made up of Scot JCB, Scot Agri, SPS and SIA.With over 50 years' experience, Stewart Plant Sales sells a wide range of plant equipment including crushers, screeners, site dumpers, rollers, air compressors, compaction equipment, pumps and abrasive cutting equipment from manufacturers including Tesab, Lippmann, JCB, Atlas Copco, Clipper, Stihl, and Tsurumi Pump. Key duties and responsibilities:Service, maintenance and repair of plant, crushers and screeners at customer sitesAccurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tabletSubmitting daily timesheets and job cardsAccurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts departmentWorking closely with the service supervisorHelping to train and mentor apprentice engineersCarrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer's specification and any regulations affecting their useEnsuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipmentThe ideal candidate will have:Relevant qualifications e.g.
