Cross Border Specialist Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom | Frachttransport und Kundenservice | Vollzeit | JR2409_0140 Drive global success with your expertise Your Role This role will work within the Road logistics Full & Part loadteam who are organising shipments on behalf of mainly general cargo customers, for FTL and LTL, ensuring all necessary operational duties and functions are in accordance with specific working instructions and customer SOPs.
They will ensure customer excellence & full compliance in all aspects of the road freight import, export, cross trade and domestic distribution operation.
Your Responsibilities Understanding of Road Freight operation for industry related questions / requirements (point of escalation).
Support the induction and training of internal staff, ensuring the correct procedures are followed Support on the on-boarding of new customers -including supporting with SOP generation and work instruction generation where necessary Calculate and supply rates, ensuring the best price and solutions are gained quickly for spot quotations.
Provide competitive quotations for effective solutions in a timely manner to customer services, through the utilisation of our network and supplier base Ensure transport planning is completed and passing of correct details to the relevant team Customs knowledge on documentation requirements for Import and Export shipments Invoice shipments in a timely manner, ensuring excellent data quality.
Raise additional invoices where relevant.
Your Skills and Experiences Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge of current Customs Procedures.
Customs documentation requirements.
Experience in quotations.
Excellent Organisational and time Management skills.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Experience in Dangerous Goods by Road.
Competent in Word & Excel.
Experience in working with Customers(internal).
Understanding of KN systems.
Transport Planning.
