We have available: 27.5 hour per week contracts, 25 hour per week contracts, and Casual roles available Service open hours: 6pm to 11pm, 7 days per week, 365 days Salary: £24,960 per annum full time equivalent, with progression on completion of competency framework to £27,560 per annum full time equivalent Location: Ashford Safe Haven, William Harvey Hospital, Kennington Road, Willesborough, TN24 0LZ Fixed Term to March 2026 This is a new service and as such successful applicants will join us for a period of induction prior to the service going live, dates outlined below: Start date for successful candidates - 17 February 2025 Service go live - 26 February 2025 ** ** About us Mental Health Matters (MHM) is a national charity with over 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality mental health and social care services.

About the role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to join our team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in crisis, helping to assess their needs, provide emotional guidance, and promote mental health and wellbeing.
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with clients experiencing mental health challenges, contributing to a supportive team, and working in partnership with local agencies and external networks.
About you You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people.
You will have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
This will include one to one engagement and facilitating group-based activities, sign posting and engaging people in mainstream provision.
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse would be an advantage for this post.
Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required for the role.
It is essential that you hold a Health and Social Care level 2 or level 3 and be willing to develop further as the role requires.
