Their Vehicle Hire Team specializes in all aspects of defendant credit hire dispute resolution, offering end-to-end solutions and proactive advice to help clients formulate effective strategies.
The team handles a wide range of vehicle hire claims, from small to multi-track cases, including fraudulent credit hire claims.
They also deal with liability, indemnity, and associated losses such as personal injury, credit repair, and diminution.

Key Responsibilities: Directly supervise and manage a small team of handlers responsible for volume litigated credit hire cases.
Provide technical supervision of claims and ensure proactive case management to meet deadlines.
Conduct performance reviews, including probation assessments, and manage team absences.
Communicate effectively with senior management and cascade relevant information to the team.
Motivate and engage team members, oversee their well-being, and support their professional development through coaching and mentoring.
Monitor financial performance of the team and ensure targets are met.
Ensure fee earners work effectively to meet client needs and the firm's commercial requirements.
Address and manage any emerging risks or compliance issues in conjunction with the Team Partner.
Allocate work efficiently among team members based on their skills and technical knowledge while ensuring profitability.
Handle any complaints or escalated issues appropriately.
Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating appropriate knowledge and skill.
Support marketing and business development activities within the team, including attending events and providing training.
Manage a small caseload of mixed-value pre-litigated and litigated credit hire claims.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training sessions and relevant publications.
Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
Candidate Profile: Experience: Previous supervisory experience is essential, ideally within a vehicle hire motor environment; however, other supervisory experience will be considered.
Technical Skills: Demonstrable experience handling caseloads that include credit hire, personal injury, or similar case types.
Compliance: High level of personal compliance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), protocols, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
People Management: Strong skills in motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members at all levels.
IT Proficiency: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
Analytical Ability: Capable of critically evaluating factual evidence and identifying inconsistencies.
Commercial Awareness: Understands when to pursue legal principles or when alternative approaches are more appropriate.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and clients.
Resilience: Able to handle negotiations confidently and accept feedback constructively.
Learning Aptitude: Demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply new skills and knowledge.
