Credit Controller Location: Office based in Yate, Bristol Job type: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) Our client, a Bristol based wholesale company, are currently seeking a Full-time Credit Controller, to support their busy accounts team at their head office.

They supply a full range of frozen, chilled, and ambient foods together with an extensive range of non-food catering products.
The Role: This position will suit someone who has a flexible, positive attitude, is comfortable managing their own workload and ideally has previous Credit Control experience, however our client will also consider applicants who have previous customer service experience and are looking for their first role in accounts/finance.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email and letters Investigating and resolving credit control queries and invoice discrepancies Assisting with monthly statement runs Generating credit control reports to plan daily and weekly call schedules Working with customers to arrange payment plans and/or payments Providing support to other members of the accounts team as and when required General and ad-hoc administration duties as requested Skills & Attributes: Previous credit control experience is desirable however, individuals with customer service or call centre experience in a different sector will also be considered Computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly Good level of numeracy and English literacy skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident to deal with uncomfortable situations that may arise with clients who owe money and keep a positive attitude Comfortable making and answering telephone calls with a professional and friendly telephone manner Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines remaining calm in challenging situations Ability to work in a team as well as individually Self-motivated with good time management skills A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to show initiative Good attention to detail with the ability to recognise problem accounts and highlight these to the relevant Manager All applicants must provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
