Credit Controller

Join BeaconMedaes as a Credit Controller where your mission will be to control, monitor and protect the accounts receivable asset while maintaining customer goodwill.
You will report to the Business Controller and will be based in our UK head office in Markham Vale.
Your role: * Develop and maintain procedures, as per Credit Policy, for the collection of cash to achieve the requisite debtor level.
* Maintain the sales ledger and to resolve reporting issues.
* Process new account applications and establish appropriate credit limits.
* Constantly review and maintain credit limits on existing accounts.
* Manage credit accounts, including the suspension of supply and commencement of litigation where necessary in order to minimise bad debts.
* Manage any invoice disputes, working with customers and internal staff to remove bottlenecks thereby achieving customer satisfaction in all instances.
* Customer relationships to be maintained at the highest level through regular and constant communications.
* Expedite all special contracts and credit arrangements, including export orders and phased payment agreements.
* Undertake regular and timely reporting to the Business Controller, including debtor levels, overdue accounts, DSOs, and credit control scorecards.
* Initiate and promote improvement in current credit control procedures by liaising with internal staff whilst working in accordance with group policies.
* Liaise with the project team to ensure payments are made in accordance with agreed terms.
* Undertake ad-hoc work as required.
To succeed, you will need: * Proven experience in a credit control environment * Experience in International credit control in particular- letters of credit * Experience in a contracting environment.
* You describe yourself as proactive, stress-resistant and someone who keeps an overview.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with both customers and colleagues.
* Excellent logistical and computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office 365.
Also, SAP knowledge is desirable.
* Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, and also, strong planning, organising, and prioritising skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
