We are excited to announce that we have a superb opportunity to join Cumming Europe Ltd , as part of Cumming Group, in the role of Credit Controller in our Cardiff Office.
The Credit Controller will primarily focus on managing credit control for our specific revenue lines within our UK operations, but will also involve supporting our billing processes.

The role of a Credit Controller includes the following responsibilities: · Manage and oversee a debtor portfolio, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and minimising aged debt.
· Monitor customer accounts and manage overdue accounts, making appropriate payment arrangements.
· Communicate regularly with clients to address payment delays and resolve disputes or queries to ensure prompt payments.
· Report on debtor aging and cash collections, identifying trends and risks, and recommending actions to mitigate bad debts.
· Conduct credit assessments for new and existing clients, setting and reviewing credit limits based on creditworthiness.
· Generate and issue accurate invoices and billing statements in a timely manner to support the Accounts Receivable process.
· Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable and other finance TM's to streamline billing processes and ensure that all data is correctly recorded in the general ledger.
· Assist in the reconciliation of accounts to ensure that all transactions are accurate and up to date.
· Work with the operations teams to manage billing queries and resolve any issues affecting timely billing and payment.
· Identify and implement process improvements in credit control and billing to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for credit control and billing activities.
· Prepare monthly credit control reports, highlighting key metrics such as aged debtors, bad debts, and collection performance.
· Assist in month end closing activities by ensuring all invoicing and credit control actions are completed in line with company deadlines.
· Weekly reporting on collection targets to feed in to Group cash flow forecast.

Qualifications / Skills: · Minimum of 2 years in a credit control role with experience in billing or similar finance related functions.
· Experience in credit control and billing within a dynamic and multi entity environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Highly detail oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
· Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
