Affinity Care Advisory is a consultancy business that supports, advises and guides a variety of social care providers.
We are looking for a dedicated, committed and experienced care professional who has very high standards of integrity and quality.
You must be able to work with the rest of the consultancy team within our organisation and also work well with our customers, providers, registered managers and external agencies to ensure compliance and high-quality care and positive outcomes for people who use their services.
You must have a very clear understanding of effective risk management and the role that plays in operating well-run care services.
You must be able to provide operational and compliance advice to our clients around the design, delivery and on-going management of their care business in discussion with our Operations Manager of the advisory service.
What we are looking for: At least 5 years' experience working in health and social care at a management level.
Prior knowledge and experience of working within domiciliary and residential services.
Clear understanding of how to analyse data from care businesses and make improvements to services.
Sound knowledge on the single assessment framework and legislation requirements.
Definitive grasp of risk management and how it affects care services.
Ability to implement change culture.
High standards of written English for report writing.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience of planning and undertaking assurance reviews and auditing Create evidence based reports, conclusions and recommendations.
To be responsible for scrutinising and monitoring our customers operational activity, with a view to ensuring compliance with, and exceeding of, the standards required by current legislation, regulation, guidance and practice standards.
To make an active contribution to embed audit and evaluation into services and support a learning and continual development organisational culture.
To report regularly to the operations manager.
To work closely with the operational team to ensure data is collated from a range of sources effectively to improve quality and performance of provision.
Experience Required: Experience of risk management, internal controls, and auditing in an operational setting.
Experience of planning and undertaking assurance review / audits; forming evidence-based conclusions and recommendations; and documenting these in written reports.
Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Competencies and Behaviours: Comfortable working in a demanding and evolving environment; able to adapt and be flexible to changing needs.
The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks on own initiative, working to tight deadline.
Keep up to date with research and changes in relevant legislation, guidance, regulation or practice standards to inform best practice and best use of resources.

Comfortable working as part of a team, willing to support others to meet collective goals.

Willingness to travel.
