If so, we would love to hear from you, as we have opportunities to work as a Cover Supervisor in various secondary schools across the following areas- Neath Port Talbot Swansea Llanelli and Carmarthenshire Pembrokeshire You will need to have the confidence to stand in front of a secondary classroom and maintain classroom behaviour, and ensure the pupils stay on tasks following the work set by the class teacher.
There is no teaching involved with this position, the main responsibility of this role is the management of the classroom.
You must have experience working with children or supervising groups of people.

The work available can be day to day supply, however we do have long term placements also available.
Working as a cover supervisor can be extremely rewarding but also very demanding.
Schools may wish to employ staff for cover supervision but on occasions where they are not needed for cover, they might also be released to provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, or to carry out administrative tasks.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to: Undertake whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher Develop curricular knowledge as required by the school Apply the school's behaviour management policy and report any difficulties to the class teacher/head teacher Set homework previously prepared by the teacher Mark elements of class work and homework under the guidance of the class teacher Undertake observations of the pupils and contribute to pupil records Administer (and mark) class tests Supervise the work of the teaching assistant Abide by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g.
