Location: B91 - Solihull Pay Rate: £100-150 (per day, dependent upon experience) Hours: Full Time/Flexible Start date: ASAP (but can be negotiated for the right person) Teaching Personnel Birmingham are seeking a reliable cover supervisor to work at one of our partner secondary schools in Solihull (B91).
The school are a very well run organisation with excellent student behaviour, low staff turnover and a highly supportive team of teachers/support staff. We are seeking an individual who is confident with following lesson plans, delivering lessons and managing challenging behaviour effectively.
Ideal Applicant: - Degree Educated (minimum English and Maths GCSE) - Experience working in a school/educational setting - Previous experience working as a cover supervisor or HLTA - Flexible hour, and ability to be called upon for last minute absences - Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management techniques - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Confident and reliable individual Responsibilities: - Follow lesson plans outlined by class teacher, accurately and deliver lessons confidently - Manage classroom behaviours confidently, de-escalating challenging situations in an appropriate and prompt manner - Communicate effectively with staff members in the school, escalating concerns promptly to the most appropriate designated people - Supporting pupils who have difficulty engaging with and completing certain aspects of work - Assist with the supervision of pupils outside of lesson hours e.g.
