Seeking a Part-Time Cover Supervisor – Three Days a Week in Horndean, Hampshire!
GSL Education are seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Horndean .
This is a part-time role, covering three days a week, with an immediate start.
The pay rate ranges between £95 to £120 per day, depending on experience.
You will have the flexibility to choose the three days you wish to work, providing a great work-life balance.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, following provided lesson plans.
Ensure students remain engaged on task and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Provide support to students with learning activities and help with any queries.
Ensure that all work is completed by students and that the classroom remains orderly.
Work across multiple subjects and year groups, covering a variety of lessons.
Support the teaching staff by providing absence, PPA, and course cover as needed.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Qualifications for a Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with secondary school students, ideally in a similar role (cover supervision or teaching).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
A proactive and positive approach to supporting students.
Ability to work independently and follow lesson plans.
A commitment to promoting a positive and engaging learning environment.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
