GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of our fantastic client schools in Blandford as a Cover Supervisor ! About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor , you'll step in to cover lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, making sure students remain focused, engaged, and productive throughout their lessons.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the continuity of students' education and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor: Supervise students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that all work is completed.
Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies to ensure a positive and respectful learning environment.
Offer support to students as needed, helping them engage with their tasks and ensuring they stay on track.
Report any behavioral or academic issues to the school leadership team, maintaining high standards.
Provide assistance with classroom activities, ensuring students are productive and focused on the set work.
Assist with any administrative tasks related to the lesson, such as collecting and distributing materials.
Requirements of the Cover Supervisor: A confident and proactive approach to classroom management.
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
The ability to adapt quickly to various subjects and classroom environments.
A positive attitude with a strong focus on supporting students and ensuring their success.
Excellent organisational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Have an up-to-date CV and two relevant references from within the last two years.
Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
