Two of Europe's sector-leading renewable energy generators, Renantis and Ventient Energy, came together to form Nadara. The Group has an installed capacity of 4.2 GW between wind, solar, biomass and storage systems, for about 200 plants in Europe and the USA. Moreover, over the next 10 years, Nadara's development pipeline includes as much as 18 GW.
Job Description:The Country Head of Development UK will lead the unified development team, overseeing both organic growth initiatives and new asset development. This role is critical in integrating the strengths of Ventient Energy and Renantis, ensuring efficient operations, and driving the company's growth strategy in the UK market. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, projects origination, stakeholder management, and project development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in developing and implementing a business development strategy for both organic growth and new asset projects in UK.Contribute to setting short-term and long-term goals aligned with the company's global strategy.Identify and develop new business opportunities through origination, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest strategies to maintain competitive advantage.Assist in assessing the technical and economic feasibility for projects, ensuring optimal design and technology selection, and preparing recommendations for investment decisions as time for repowering.Ensure effective project development from initiation through to Ready to Build, coordinating all involved departments (engineering, procurement, legal, etc.).Support the Project Management Team in overseeing projects from Ready to Build to COD.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to improve brand visibility and credibility.Assist in developing project budgets and input financial models to ensure project feasibility and profitability.Optimize resource allocation, ensuring that both human and financial capital are utilized effectively across projects.Support the integration of the existing development teams from Ventient and Renantis into a cohesive unit.Promote a collaborative and innovative culture within the unified team.Mentor and manage a high-performing team of development professionals.Monitor and report on the progress of business development activities and projects.Provide regular updates to senior management on market developments, project status, and business performance.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on large-scale PV and wind energy projects.Proven track record of leading large-scale renewable energy projects development with tangible results in terms of consented and build projects of more than 1GW.An open minded and innovative approach.Experience of managing JV with partners covering senior roles and executive roles.Exceptional strategic planning and execution capabilities.Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Ability to lead and inspire a diverse and widely spread team.Deep understanding of the UK renewable energy market and regulatory landscape.Recognition in the industry also for the roles in the sectorial associations.Preferably able to be based in Scotland.Pay and Benefits: With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
