You will have strategic oversight of a mixed caseload of property and liability fraud claims providing direction and support to our Claims Fraud Champions.
You will focus on achieving fair outcomes, indemnity savings, the successful conclusion of cases, and providing training to our colleagues.

Key responsibilities Strategic: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fraud detection and prevention measures including the effective use of fraud tools and techniques.
Benchmark our fraud detection performance against other market providers.
Be responsible for risk control measures including fraud standards and best practice, indemnity savings, leakage, conduct risk, and internal/external risk compliance.
Collaborate with our underwriting teams to proactively share fraud insights, enhancing fraud screening from the outset.
Represent Ecclesiastical at industry and other external forums.
Drive the development and ongoing enhancement of processes and procedures to deliver continuous improvement.
Support the Claims Risk and Performance Manager with MI reporting to manage internal performance and to provide insight on strategy.
Claims Management: Lead our team of Fraud Champions to achieve the consistent delivery of our fraud response.
Undertake conversation management and oversee initial screening of cases.
Set fraud strategy across a mixed caseload of property and liability matters.
Drive indemnity savings and ensure the successful resolution of fraud cases.
Lead our supplier fraud strategy and set KPIs.
Advise on litigation and FOS risk, balancing the interests of both the customer and the business.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on fraud detection and prevention techniques including conversation management.
Develop and deliver training programmes within Claims and with other stakeholders to enhance our capabilities.
Deliver our internal and external audit requirements across our claims teams, broker delegated authority arrangements, and our supply chain.
Knowledge, skills and experience Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) or DIP CII/CILA qualified or equivalent qualification(s).
Experience of tackling financial crime within a general insurance environment including liaison with and referral to the IFB and IFED.
Knowledge of managing fraud in both a Property and Casualty setting desirable.
In depth technical knowledge of fraud detection procedures, relevant legislation, and data protection requirements.
Ability to build collaborative and productive relationships and to lead and coach others.
Data literate with the ability to analyse and produce relevant reports.
